A HOMELESS man who was just trying to survive on the streets of Bishop Lavis was found viciously murdered on a veldjie, leaving residents demanding answers and justice.

According to a Daily Voice source, the 44-year-old man was lelik vermoor after he was found dead on a field along Sky Road on Monday.

A community member, who was at the scene, said when they came around his body, they saw that his face was “skeef” en dik gegooi with a baksteen.

The resident, who chose to remain anonymous, said: “While we were standing at the scene, someone came and told us that they were sitting in the park yesterday evening and the security went around the park towards the Modderdam Road and threatened him.

“The security told him that he could not sleep there. I'm not saying they did it, but the paramedic said that he was viciously murdered - kicked and beaten with bricks…

“Hy het maar op die straat gebly en geskarrel vir sy ou stukkie brood maar het niemand gepla nie.

“But to die like that? I would not even wishing that on my worst enemy.”
