A MONTROSE Park family are homeless and fearing for their lives after their wendy house was petrol bombed and burned down by alleged gang members.
The home in Elizabeth Crescent, Mitchells Plain, came under attack in the early hours of last Saturday night, but luckily was hulle nie by die huis nie.
The mother, who wants to protect her identity, said her home and three other families’ homes were targeted in a gang-related attack that has left their children traumatised.
The attackers who are alleged members of the Terrible Josters smashed the houses, damaged the roofs but only set her house on fire with a petrol bomb as they looked for rivals they apparently thought were hiding on the premises.
The mother explains that she and her children were visiting a neighbour’s house in the road when the attack started.
She wysed: “Around midnight, I was woken up because they were shooting on the house. Police arrived and they left.
“About 10 minutes after that we just heard a lot of noise outside and we heard, ‘gaan haal hulle uit, maak hulle vrek, n**i die vrouens, ek worry nie. Rape die dogters en skiet almal vrek’.
“They were demolishing the house while we were hiding in the separate entrance. We were seven adults and nine children.
“After that they went to my house and broke down the gate, the windows and lit my house on fire, looking for people I don’t know. They shouted the same thing, bring hulle uit, maak hulle vrek, rape die dogters.”
The mother claims that she and her family have no place to go and one of her daughters is writing her matric finals.
