Be entertained at the Global Dance Supreme Finals innie Kuila this weekend

GET ready to witness epic dance moves this weekend as the Global Dance Supreme Finals 2025 returns to the Mother City as dancers compete to secure their spot on the global stage in Dubai.

Since its inception in 2018, the InterContinental Dance and Battle Championships has evolved into one of the largest and most electrifying international dance events in the Southern Hemisphere. 

Hosted annually in South Africa, this iconic two-day celebration of movement, culture, and creativity brings together elite dance crews and battle dancers from around the world.

With over 50 crews locked in, it is about to go down at the Western Cape Sports Centre in Kuils River this weekend.

Dancers are serving up two days of thrilling competition as elite artists from across the nation and international talent face off.

This event showcases the power of dance to inspire, unite, and push the boundaries of artistic expression.

Over 800 amateurs and professionals will bust out their best moves - from a range of dancing genres. From breaking, freestyle, krump and Afrostyles, it's all here.

The championship spotlights high-energy crew performances on Day 1 and intense head-to-head battles on Day 2 with each moment fueled by the artistry, dedication, and spirit of the international dance community.

It’s a stage where emerging talent and established icons come together, united by a shared passion for movement, culture, and expression.

On Saturday, the Crew Championship Finals will hit the floor, featuring the top international dance crews taking the stage in a battle for the prestigious title. 

TheTop 3 South African Crews in each division will qualify to represent South Africa at the Dubai Finals in 2026.

The event starts at 8.30am and tickets are available at R150 to R180 on Quicket

On Sunday is the All Battle Sections from 10am and tickets are available between R100 and R120 on Quicket.

Unbreakable

With Breast Cancer Awareness month upon us this October, Cape Town vocalist Fagrie Isaacs and Aziza Richards presents Unbreakable in aid of Breast Cancer. 

Stiek uit and unwind for a good cause. Cafe 51 in Woodstock is the place to be.

Tickets are available at R200 and every R50 per ticket will be donated to CANSA.

The Tramp

BOOK NOW: The show follows 'The Tramp' as he reflects on Charlie Chaplin's rise to fame.

Charlie Chaplin steps off the silver screen and onto the stage in this mini-musical that captures his genius, mischief, and timeless comedy.

The production at the Artscape Theatre also celebrates the Tramp, who shaped the childhoods of generations.

This play tells the story of Charlie Chaplin through the voice of his iconic character, the Tramp.

As Chaplin’s career and controversies unfold, the play reflects on their bond, their falling out, and the exile that defined Chaplin’s later years. Using popular music and silent film style, the show offers a fresh take on the life of a comedy legend.
