A charitable community organisation has extended a helping hand to prepare learners for the upcoming year-end exams and it won’t cost them a cent.
AWQAF SA will be hosting a series of mathematics workshops in Mitchells Plain and Khayelitsha over a course of three weekends to prepare learners for the exams covering topics like algebra and geometry for Grades 10, 11 and 12.
The organisation says this intervention is targeted for learners in Mitchells Plain and the Cape Flats who cannot afford to travel to the usual workshops in the southern suburbs.
AWQAF SA’s CEO Mickaeel Collier said: “We have realised that maths is an essential subject required for careers in engineering, finance, computer science and further life skills.
“This project fills a gap where learners struggle with the subject.”
The sessions are free and learners are encouraged to register online to confirm attendance.
And if you can't make it in person, you can still get the help you need by attending the session online. You will receive a streaming link upon registering.
