SHAKATAK ARE BACK

A COLD and wet weekend is expected innie Kaap but things are heating up as the iconic international Jazz band Shakatak takes the stage this Saturday at the Grand Arena in Grand West.

The UK band took to the Grand Area stage for one night only in September 2023 as part of their 40th anniversary world tour and saw that Cape Town has lekker mense. Now they are back again this Saturday giving you their greatest hits.

The band, comprising Jill Saward (lead vocals), Bill Sharpe (keys), Keith Winter (guitar), George Anderson (bass) and Roger Odell (drums) is known for their smooth melodies and captivating performances.

Shakatak promises an unforgettable evening filled with music that transcends generations.

Experience live renditions of their iconic tracks such as Night Birds, Down on the Street, and Easier Said Than Done, along with surprises from their extensive catalog. 

Whether you’re a longtime fan or a newcomer to their sound or a lover of jazz music then this is a night of musical brilliance you won’t want to miss. Tickets cost R250 on Ticketmaster and the show starts at 8pm.
