A 42-year-old skollie from Hanover Park was hospitalised after a gang fight broke out in Hanover Park on Monday night.
According to a source, several shots rang out in Johndown Walk shortly after 8 pm as members of the Americans gang opened fire on the Mongrels gang.
"We don't know why they shooting again but those Americans came over from Howick Court and shot on the field. The one guy, a Mongrel was hit in the stomach."
Police spokesperson, Captain FC van Wyk confirms the shooting and says a 42-year-old man was shot but survived.
"The victim sustained a gunshot wounds to his chest and was taken to a nearby hospital for medical treatment. Police are investigating a case of attempted murder.
