US singer and actress, Miley Cyrus, has publicly addressed rumours that she is feuding with her parents, Tish Cyrus-Purcell and Billy Ray Cyrus.

Fans noticed that the singer’s mother, Tish has unfollowed her on Instagram and claims that they are not in “good terms” started circulating on social media.

However, to shut down the rumours, Miley took to Instagram at the weekend to set the record straight.

She posted on her stories: “I rarely comment on rumours, but my mama and I are too tight for anything to ever come between us. She’s my best friend. 

“Like a lot of moms, she doesn't know how to work her phone and somehow unfollowed me - simple, coincidental, and uninteresting.”

The Wrecking Ball singer also added on to clarify that she has a good relationship with her father, Billy Ray Cyrus.

She adds: “My dad and I have had our challenges over the years. Now, in my thirties, family is my priority above all else. I’m at peace knowing bridges have been built and time has done a lot of healing.

“Grateful for the good health and love that flows through my family."

Tish also spoke out and took to X to clarify that she would never unfollow her daughter.

On Mother’s Day, Miley’s father penned a heart-warming post on Instagram wishing his daughter and ex-wife a happy Mother’s Day while squashing the rumours.

He wrote: “I’m so proud of Miley and her guts and her courage. Her wisdom and strength to bring it when our family needed it most. We are so close to a full healing.”

The Achy Breaky Heart singer also added that Cyrus-Purcell embodies the qualities of a strong mother.

He said: “Tish Cyrus was and is a very strong mother. Trust me, I’m the first to admit. Being married to me was not easy. I am very good at making mistakes. A very imperfect man.”
