A Mitchells Plain boy and his puppy have found the perfect way to entertain each other during the lockdown.
Tyler Petersen, 11, from Portlands and his Jack Russell, Bella, are enjoying making music together.
It all started when Tyler played his new recorder and guitar, and Bella joined in with “vocals” by howling along.
Tyler’s father, Ron Petersen, says the two have been inseparable since Bella was born eight months ago.
“We have three St.Bernard dogs and Bella, being the newest member of our family, has been attached to Tyler since day one,” says Ron.
“She just wants to be around Tyler all day, they run up and down chasing each other. She loves stealing socks and biting them outside.”

Tyler says his dog is always interested in everything he does.
“When I do my homework, she wants to be part of it by watching me and getting onto my books to scratch on it, it’s like she wants to write also.
“I recently started playing the recorder because lockdown can get boring after I’ve played all my PlayStation games and done my school work.
“Since I started trying out musical instruments, she started barking at it the first few times and then later was howling like she was singing along.”
Tyler says his beloved pooch also waits for him in the bathroom.
“When I go shower, she waits for me to get done and then I’ll ask her what she wants to do and she will go fetch the recorder.”
Tyler adds jokingly: “I think she must go to America’s Got Talent because she is really serious about this singing, even though it’s so false.”
