Four suspects are behind bars after cops caught two of them outside a house in Kirstenhof, and the others at a nearby mall.
It is believed the gang broke into a house in Kirstenhof , where a car was stolen.
Vigilant cops responded to a complaint at an address in
Kirstenhof, where two men were nabbed, on Friday.
Further investigation led cops to Blue Route Mall in Tokai, where they found two more robbers, sitting in the stolen vehicle.
It appears the gang wanted to hit stores inside the mall, but was stopped before they could
proceed.
Police spokesperson,
Siyabulela Malo, confirms the incident.

“Vigilant members of
Kirstenhof SAPS, in partnership with local Law Enforcement agencies, arrested four
suspects, between the ages 28 and 33, who attempted to break in at a premises in Kirstenhof,” he says.
“The observant members responded to a complaint received about an attempted break-in at a house in
Kirstenhof and arrested two men.
“Upon conducting
further investigation the members spotted the vehicle that was identified as stolen, at a
shopping mall, occupied by two unknown men, and members confronted and apprehended the suspects.
“The identified stolen vehicle was searched and police members found two unlicensed firearms and all four suspects were arrested and they are expected to make a court appearance in the Wynberg Magistrates’ Court on Monday for possession of stolen property.”
