ARRESTS: Three suspects busted

COPS busted three men after a violent attack in Wallacedene.
According to South African Police Service, the males aged between 21 and 34, opened fire at a shishanyama in Fransina Street on Thursday night, with officers rounding up the suspects vroegoggend on Friday in what is believed to be a gang-related incident.
Colonel Andre Traut reports: “According to our preliminary crime report, armed assailants opened fire on four victims at an establishment in Fransina Street, Wallacedene, at approximately 10pm [on Thursday], in what is believed to be a gang-related attack.
“Two victims, aged 17 and 20, were declared dead at the scene. The remaining two were transported to hospital, where the third victim, aged 18, later succumbed to his injuries. The fourth victim remains in hospital receiving treatment.
“Kraaifontein police acted swiftly, following up on all available leads, which resulted in the arrest of the three suspects.”
Once formally charged, the suspects are expected to appear in the Blue Downs Magistrates Court on charges of murder.
Meanwhile on Friday night, members of Delft Crime Prevention Unit arrested a 64-year-old oom in Delft on drug charges.
Warrant Officer Joseph Swartbooi reports: “Officers executed a search warrant on Friday 06 June 2025.
“The members operationalised the information at their disposal and accosted an address in Virunga Street, N2 Gateway.
“Upon entering the premises they ensued with a search and recovered drugs, an undisclosed amount of cash and valuables.
“They detained a 64 year old man for the unlawful possession of drugs and the possession of presumed stolen property.
Once charged the suspect is expected to make a court appearance in the Bellville Magistrates Court on the mentioned charge.
