Three Hanover Park skollies accused of killing three people of a rival gang over the weekend have been sent to Pollsmoor Prison.
Tyrone Davids, Mikyle Davids and Shamieg Mathieson, who are allegedly members of the Laughing Boys gang, were arrested on Friday after they allegedly opened fire on the car of a rival gangster killing three people, including a woman.
According to a source, police were called out to the bloody scene in Hanall Walk shortly before 4 am on Friday where the bullet-ridden bodies of the two men, known as Jaggers and Dubba, and a 32-year-old female were found in a red VW Golf 5 GTI.
The source says Dubba and Jaggers are well-known hitmen for the Ghetto Kidz gang.
“The woman is one of their girlfriends, but they are known for carrying out the orders for the gang bosses.
“Nobody knows why they were in Hanall Walk, but according to the residents, it was the Laughing Boys who shot them.
“They don’t usually go shooting in that car, but they often use it to make drug deliveries. But they were shot in the head and the chest and all died in the car.”
According to residents, the Anti-Gang Unit (AGU) was called in and quickly swamped the streets searching for the gunmen following tip-offs about the identity of the shooters.
Police spokesperson, Sergeant Noloyiso Rwexana, says the detective arrested the three suspects, aged 21 and 22, on the same day.
The trio made their first appearance in the Athlone Magistrate's Court on Monday where their case was postponed to 23 April for a bail information hearing.
