Police say drug dealers in Gordon’s Bay were dealt a blow this week when they uncovered a dagga lab.
Sergeant Noloyiso Rwexana says police embarked on an operation and searched a residence in Clivia Street.
“During their search, they uncovered an illegal hydroponic dagga lab. Various rooms and showers inside the house were filled with dagga plants and fitted with cultivation equipment.
“Huge amounts of dried hydroponic dagga, dagga plants, lights, fans, pots, plastic containers, dagga oil, potting soil and other items of equipment were seized. The dagga is valued at a substantial amount.”
Three suspects, two men and a woman, ages 24, 25 and 30 years, were arrested and are to appear in the Strand Magistrate's Court on Friday.
