After three months on the run, a Hanover Park skollie, who allegedly stabbed a 17-year-old boy to death and evaded cops by wearing a parda, has been caught and sent to Pollsmoor Prison.
Hanover Park residents say Mud-dath-thir Boer, 29, who was filmed stabbing Austin McKay, was finally nabbed on Friday when he forgot to use his disguise.
Austin’s aunty, Patricia, 59, explains the day before Austin died he was allegedly chased by a group of stone throwing boys.
Residents say there are two groups of “wannabe gangsters” in the area who fight and throw stones at one another.
Patricia says Austin and children from Crystal High School were often threatened by these two groups.
“Austin died on 15 May, but the day before there was an incident where one of the stone throwers tried to stab him at school but he ran away and his shirt was torn.
“On the day he was stabbed I went to the school and asked the principal if I should take him home and they told me to leave him at school.
“They sent him home without letting me know and while I was at home the school children came to me to say he was stabbed and won’t make it,” the hartseer auntie says.

Austin was stabbed in the chest and rushed to Hanover Park Day Hospital where he died.
Residents say Boer went on the run after a video of the stabbing started circulating.
“He knew he was wanted so he ran away. The mense spotted him visiting his mother’s flat in Lomond Court en toe kom dit uit dat hy loop rond in ’n salaah top en ’n parda, [then it was revealed that he's walking around in a salaah top and wearing a parda]” says one resident.
“Sometimes he even wore a wig to look like a woman.”
Detectives from Philippi Police Station searched for Boer but he managed to evade them by also allegedly hiding out in Pook Se Bos informal settlement.
Residents says on Friday morning an eagle-eyed officer recognised the suspect and arrested him.
“He was wearing normal clothes, no wig or parda. He became lekker comfortable, but the boere(cops) recognised him and arrested him.”
Boer was charged with murder and made his first appearance in the Athlone Magistrates’ Court on Monday amid protests from Austin’s family and residents, who called for bail to be denied. The State prosecutor says the video has been handed in as evidence.

The case was postponed to 28 October for a bail hearing and Boer was sent to Pollsmoor Prison.
