An alleged teen hitman from Parkwood appeared in Wynberg Magistrates’ Court today after he was arrested for a gang murder over the weekend.
The 18-year-old man, who is allegedly a member of the Six Bobs gang, was busted for the murder of a 28s gang member who allegedly refused to join their gang.
Grassy Park Police Station commander, Colonel Dawood Laing, says cops were called to the murder scene in Parker Walk shortly after 4am.
“The 36-year-old male was shot multiple times in his face.
“What we have ascertained at the scene is that he is a member of the 28s gang in prison and was released about three years ago.
“He was approached to join the Six Bobs, but allegedly refused.
“According to the witnesses two gunmen came to him on Saturday morning and asked him to go smoke drugs with them.
“But then everything went quiet and they heard six shots and he was found dead.”
Laing says during the investigation cops were informed about an apparent theft of guns from the Six Bobs gang being part of the dispute, but the matter is still under further investigation.
“On Monday officers received information about the location of one of the shooters and searched a property in Moosa Walk where he was hiding. He was arrested and charged with murder.”
Laing has appealed to residents to come forward with any information.
