Two teen skollies from Manenberg were led to their deaths in an alleged hit by their own gang members on Monday night.

Panic spread across Hanover Park after residents living near Greenturf Road heard skote shortly before 8pm and discovered the bullet-ridden bodies.

Residents tried to identify the teens and some shared pictures on social media to find their families.

Residents reported seeing the teens pushing a bakkie in the road then the shooting.

According to a source the teens are members of the Fancy Boys gang who set them up to be killed due to in-fighting.

“They are from Manenberg but the two laaities were taken to Hanover Park to be shot because they were bang the police would catch them in Manenberg.

“The driver told them there was something wrong with the bakkie and they had to push it. They pushed the bakkie but then he got out and shot them.”

The driver, who is an alleged member of the Fancy Boys gang, drove off but was caught in less than an hour after he was hunted down by the Anti-Gang Unit.

“ [The] AGU caught him in Manenberg and got the bakkie. He is also a Fancy Boy. This was a planned thing,” says the source.

Police spokesperson Colonel André Traut says the victims are 16 and 17: “The motive for the murders is yet to be established.

“[An] investigation led to the arrest of two suspects aged 24 and 37."

“Once they have been charged, they are due to make a court appearance”.
