A suspected teenage drug merchant appeared in court last week after he was nabbed during an undercover sting in Woodstock.
The 18-year-old was caught selling “hydro critical dagga” to undercover cops of the Cape Town Cluster Task Team in Lower Main Road, Woodstock, on Thursday.
Police spokesperson, Captain FC van Wyk, says: “The so-called ‘deal’ took place in the vehicle of the suspect, and 16g of hydro critical dagga, amounting to R2400, was ‘bought’ from him.
“As soon as the deal was concluded, the officer signalled to the rest of the team, and the task team members quickly moved in before the man could drive off.”
