Contestants have to dress up in the theme of their career choice as well as evening wear.
On Saturday, the classy kids who hail from various areas in the Western Cape will put their best foot forward in a bid to win the title and prizes including a bursary, designer outfits for their matric ball, professional photo shoots, modelling contracts, accessories, hair products, skincare products, food vouchers and more.
Director of the pageant and 75-time beauty pageant title holder, Enigma von Hamburg, says the competition is tight in this its eighth year.
“We are going bigger, better, bolder and brighter,” she promises.
“I believe that everyone who participates is a winner as the experience of competing before an audience will be of significant benefit as it teaches the contestant to be confident and assertive - qualities most needed to succeed in life.
“This is much more than a beauty pageant.
“We had several workshops that included public speaking that helped build their confidence and worked on their future career plans.”
The pageant takes place at the Stellenbosch Town Hall on Saturday at 7pm. Deluxe tickets are sold out but standard tickets are still available at the door for R80.
