A dik ding gangster who is allegedly responsible for giving hitmen in Netreg “orders” is behind bars after the Anti-Gang Unit (AGU) raided his home and found illegal guns, ammunition and drugs.
The AGU confiscated more than 900 rounds of ammunition, several guns and more than 1000 mandrax pille.
According to a source, the team raided the home in Oude Hout Street, Netreg, belonging to a man known as “Slang” of the Terrible Josters gang shortly after 3 pm on Monday and found the massive stash.
“Slang is a dik ding of the Terrible Josters gang in Netreg and he is very close to the leader, Jaggers, in Kreefgat,” says the source.
“He is known as the ‘landdros’ (magistrate) of the gang who gives the orders for shootings or so on. He also has to maintain ‘law and order’ in the gang.

“Slang was caught with a whole lot of ammunition hidden in his house, across various calibres.
“It is believed that he got the delivery on Sunday, but it is not clear where it comes from.”
According to a police report, the 30-year-old skollie was found with 118 R5 rifle rounds, 245 R1 rifle rounds, 138 9mm rounds, 101 .45mm rounds and about 400 more live ammunition across various calibres during the intelligence-driven operation.
Slang was allegedly also found with hunting rifle magazines, firearm cleaning kits, three prohibited firearms and 1 627 mandrax tablets.

“He had a large assortment of ammunition across various calibres and apparently sold the mandrax from his home,” says the source.
“During the raid, there were children on the property and while it is not clear if it was his children, you could see they were used to police searching the house.
“It was an intelligence-driven operation and it appears that they [Josters] were gearing up for something with all that ammo so it’s good that they were stopped.”
The source says when questioned in the holding cells, Slang remained toebek about where he got the ammo.
“Hy is taai! He just said it is his, but won’t talk about where it came from.”
Police spokesperson, Lieutenant Colonel Andrè Traut, confirms the arrest and says once charged, the suspect will appear in Bishop Lavis Magistrates’ Court.
