Shoppers ran for their lives as a 31-year-old man was shot in the face while queueing outside the Charlesville Shopping Mall on Friday.
The victim, said to be a gangster who went by the name of “Raymond”, was approached by his shooters and gunned down in broad daylight.
The centre had to be closed, leaving shoppers in need of essentials for lockdown empty handed.
TARGET: Raymond
A resident, who asked not to be named, says she was just about to enter the mall parking lot when shots rang out.
“I had just crossed the road and going onto the premises when I just heard shots. I skrikked me asvaal.
“As if we don’t have enough to deal with already, and now these damn gangsters are the reason we cannot get bread and milk for our families. It’s unfair, what about the many pensioners?” she said.
Cops confirmed the incident and believe the shooting is gang-related.
