An alleged gangster was gunned down on Wednesday in what is believed to be a gang hit while on his way to court in Mitchells Plain.
The alleged American gang member was shot six times by members of a rival gang in Melkhout Close in Eastridge.
SAPS’ Sergeant Noloyiso Rwexana says: “A murder case has been opened for investigation following a shooting incident that occurred at Melkhout Close, Eastridge in Mitchells Plain on Wednesday.
“Police responded to a shooting scene and upon their arrival, they found an 18-year-old man with gunshot wounds to his chest. The victim was fatally wounded.
“No one has been arrested so far.”
