A pastor has found a new way to “heal” his flock – by farting on their heads.
Self-styled holy man Christ Penelope, who founded Seven Fold Holy Spirit Ministries, reportedly poeps on his congregants as part of a healing process to cure spiritual and physical problems.
The pastor from Giyani, Limpopo, went viral after a photo of him sitting on a man’s face and allegedly farting made the rounds on social media.
However, Penelope has defended himself saying the unorthodox ritual is a demonstration of God’s power after he was accused of hiding behind religion to perpetuate his disgraceful actions, reports IOL.
In an interview with Drum, he claims that he is following the divine example of putting people in need of a miracle into a deep sleep before giving them the healing they need.
"Just like God made Adam go into a deep sleep, it is a similar thing. God did anything with the body of Adam while he was on the ground in deep sleep. He was not feeling anything," Penelope told Drum.
He says it’s important that the poep be near the person’s nose so that the “healing power” can enter the body and do its work.
The man of the cloth claimed that people who are sick are healed after his fart ritual.
In 2018, Lethebo Rabalago, the Limpopo pastor who was dubbed the "Doom prophet" after being caught on camera spraying his flock with Doom, was found guilty by the Mookgophong Magistrates’ Court on four counts of assault with intent to do grievous bodily harm and three counts of contravening the Agricultural Remedies Act.
