An alleged paedophile, who was caught masturbating outside a Parow school, will go on trial in July after months of delays.
The State has completed the investigation into the child porn case against Heinrich Bosman, 47, and has compiled 8 000 pornographic pictures.
Bosman was busted in a sting outside Parow West Primary School on 16 April 2018 by officers of the Bellville Family Violence Child Protection and Sexual Offences (FCS) Unit.
Cops say Bosman has allegedly masturbated in front of the children over a period of time and some learners disclosed that he had offered them money to get into his vehicle, but they refused.
During his bail hearing it was revealed that, on the day of his arrest, cops caught him with his pants down sitting in his green Audi outside the school.
At his home he admitted that there were two child porn pictures on his phone and after obtaining a search warrant, cops found a laptop containing more child porn.
Bosman is out on R3 000 bail and lives with his girlfriend in Claremont.
After months of delays he returned to Bellville Magistrate's Court on Tuesday where defence lawyer, Labiek Samuels, says: “The State has completed its investigation and has said there are 8000 counts of pornographic material, but it is not clear how many of those are for child porn.
“The case has been transferred to the Parow Regional Court and the trial will start on 18 July.”
