GUESS who’s back? The huge elephant seal who stopped traffic in Gordon’s Bay on Tuesday has made a draai in Simon’s Town.

Yesterday, the Cape of Good Hope SPCA reported that the rob, nicknamed Gordy, has landed himself at the Naval Base.

The SPCA confirmed that the einste rob had made a return to land on their Facebook page. And he fancies himself a Navy Seal now.

The statement reads: Gordy’s back – but he’s safe!

“Our favourite blubbery visitor has hauled out again. This time at the Naval Base in Simon’s Town.

“He’s currently safe and secure in a location where he cannot access any roads... An SPCA inspector and the City of Cape Town are on scene, keeping a close eye on him.

"For now, he’s simply resting, which is completely normal behaviour. We’ll continue to monitor him closely...”

The sub-adult elephant seal made the Daily Voice’s front page on Wednesday when he was was spotted wandering the streets of Gordon’s Bay on Tuesday morning.

Gordy was galumphing along the tarred roads and found its way into a residential area.

After a helse effort by authorities, he was returned to the water.
