Mystery surrounds the murder of a Milnerton mom who was shot and killed while on her way to work on Wednesday.
Neighbours of Thandiswa Lingani, 37, say they got a skrik when they found her body lying in the street with a gunshot wound to her head.
Her 46-year-old neighbour, who asked not to be named, says they found her in Freedom Way.
“We were at home when the people came to call us saying she was shot.
“We couldn’t believe it and everyone ran to go see.
“When we got there we found that she was shot in the head.”
The neighbour says they watched as the paramedics declared her dead as her mother wept.
“They confirmed she is dead and covered her body.
“I don’t know her well but I know she has a four-year-old son and likes to party.
“We really don’t know why someone would just come and kill her because she wasn’t robbed and still had her cellphone in her pocket.
Police spokesperson, FC van Wyk, confirms the murder and says cops were called to the scene on the corners of Freedom Way at 6.25am.
