A Heinz Park mother is pleading for help to find her 13-year-old son who has been missing for more than a week.
The hartseer mother of Chadley Hanslo says she has searched everywhere for him, but has been unable to find him after he vanished without a trace on 13 February.
Anthea Manus, 43, says she last saw the teen boy when he left home to visit his aunty who lives a few streets away.
“It was on Saturday and he said he is going to his aunty. He often slept there and didn’t come home on Saturday.
“On Sunday I phoned her and got a skrik when she said he had left that same day, but he never came home.”
Anthea says she searched Heinz Park.
“Some people say they saw him walking around on Monday by the railway line and I went there, but couldn’t find him.
“I went to Lentegeur SAPS and they said I must go register the case at Samora Machel so I went there and gave a picture.
“On Sunday [yesterday] I went to the hospitals to find him because I am very worried. He has never gone missing before.”
SAPS’ Noloyiso Rwexana confirms the case is being investigated by the Nyanga Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences unit.
At the time of his disappearance Chadley was wearing a grey tracksuit, red long sleeve top and black Nike sloffies.
