HAUL: Cops seized a gun and drugs

TWO suspected merts are set to appear in court today after being busted vroegoggend yesterday.
SAPS reported separate incidents as members of the force took down alleged drug dealers after receiving information about suspicious activities.
Public Order police nabbed a smokkellaar in Lwandle, Strand.
They busted the man with a hele klomp dwelms and seized a registered firearm.
Twigg adds: “Members of Public Order Police searched a premises in Lwandle after they received information of drugs being sold at the specific premises.
“The members confiscated crystal meth, ecstacy tablets, Mandrax tablets, dagga and a undisclosed amount of cash. The suspect’s licensed firearm was also confiscated.
“An adult male was arrested for dealing in drugs.”
In an unrelated intervention, a man in his 30s was vasgevat by cops in Paarl East after cops found the ou with a stash of tik and pille.
Sergeant Wesley Twigg reports: “Members of Public Order police conducted crime prevention operations in Paarl East when they searched a premises in Magnolia Street informal settlement and seized 32 plastic packets containing tik, 50 Mandrax tablets and two half Mandrax tablets and a undisclosed amount of cash.
“They arrested a 34-year-old male for dealing in drugs.”
The suspects are expected to make their respective court appearances in the Paarl and Strand Magistrates Court respectively on today.
