A worried Worcester family is searching for their loved one after he disappeared on Monday in Khayelitsha.
Khanyiso Jacobs, 36, and his dad came to Cape Town last Thursday.
On Monday, on their way home, while his father was locking the gate at his aunt’s home in Khayelitsha, he
simply disappeared.
His worried sister, Phumeza Jacobs, says when her dad turned around, her brother was gone.
She says they are very worried as Khanyiso is mentally ill and unable to communicate.
LOST: Khanyiso, 36
“For someone who doesn’t know Khanyiso he would appear sane. However, he cannot speak and he’ll only be comfortable around people once someone in the family’s name is mentioned,” Phumeza says.
Khanyiso was last seen in 55 Section Federation, Kuyasa, at around 3pm on
Monday.
He is of average height and was wearing a maroon shirt, grey pullover, blue jeans, brown shoes and a beige cap with the words “College Security” written on it.
Phumeza says they’ve been frantically searching for her brother in Khayelitsha.
“We have been handing out flyers at Harare Spar, the hospital, Town Two, Isivana Centre, the Khayelitsha mall and now we’re going to Site C.
“Since we posted this on social media, lots of people have messaged to say they have seen him at the Spar in
Harare.
“We went there and people and security said they saw him, but we didn’t find him.
“We’re asking anyone who has seen him to please report or take him to the nearest police station,” Phumeza pleaded.
