ER24 spokesman Werner Vermaak said paramedics arrived at the man’s house at about 4pm on Tuesday May 30, where they had found him with a serious wound to his neck.
Security guards told the paramedics the man had apparently been stabbed about half a block away and had run home and collapsed.
“There was nothing that paramedics could do for him and he was declared dead,” says Vermaak.
“Police attended to the scene and walked with paramedics to the street where they found the trail of blood. The exact circumstances surrounding the incident are not yet known,” says Vermaak.
