Four armed robbers were caught red-handed after they allegedly stole R10 000 worth of clothing at a retailer at a Cape Flats mall.
The brazen robbers stormed into Truworths clothing store at Westgate Mall, Westridge, Mitchells Plain yesterday just after 9.45am.
The men held staff at gunpoint and walked out with rails of expensive clothing before fleeing the scene.
But wakker police officers were soon on their heels after tracing the number plate of the white Velocity Golf they were travelling in.
The men were arrested in Elephant Street, Eastridge.
They are expected to appear in the Mitchells Plain Magistrates’ Court soon on a charge of business robbery.
Police spokesperson, Constable Johnatan Filander explains: “Four unknown males fled with clothes of an undisclosed amount at gunpoint.
“Shortly after the incident, the police arrested four suspects and a business robbery case was opened for investigation.”
