The Democratic Alliance yesterday launched a new election poster, using the name of Nelson Mandela.
The poster reads “Honour Madiba’s Dream, Vote DA”.
DA leader Mmusi Maimane put up the new DA posters near the Union Buildings in Pretoria, where Mandela was inaugurated as SA’s first democratically elected president in 1994.
The DA’s latest election stunt is set to rile the ANC, which is opposed to the opposition party using Madiba’s name to further its campaign.
Maimane said the DA was the only party that still represented Madiba’s values, and the ANC and Jacob Zuma betrayed his legacy.
