A kos skelm from Heideveld is back in the mang, but this time for stealing a box of pies worth R450.
Just days after pleading guilty to an earlier theft case involving peanut butter, Nazier “Ziri” Andrews, 29, was bust again on Monday.
Manenberg police say they got a skrik when the shop owner identified the man dubbed the “Robin Hood of Heideveld”, as the skelm who stole the pies from a delivery truck on Monday.
In September, Ziri was caught by Sergeant Darryl van Noie at a pella pos in Heideveld. This was after a delivery man, who stopped at the Chain Foods Supermarket, told cops that Ziri ran up to him and stole a box and fled the scene.
Van Noie overheard the man giving his statement and took the delivery man to a pella pos where Ziri and his crew of thieves frequently smoke drugs. And, to their surprise, they found the skelm making pancakes with the stolen peanut butter.
He even complained that the pannekoekies didn’t come out lekker as they placed him in handcuffs.
KOS GANGSTER: Nazier Andrews, 29, from Heideveld.
On 14 November, Ziri appeared in the Athlone Magistrates’ Court where he pleaded guilty and received a 50-day sentence which was suspended for five years.
But on Monday, cops could not contain their laughter as Van Noie once again dragged an upset Ziri into the holding cells for robbing another delivery truck.
“This time he stole pies and was so clever, he handed the pies out to everyone,” says a police source.
“There were chicken and mushroom, pepper steak and a whole mix of pies.
“He was also slim because he discarded the box to get rid of the evidence.
“But the shop owner identified him and he mos handed out the pies because he thinks he is the Robin Hood of Heideveld.
“He is redefining what it means to be a kos gangster,” adds the laughing source.
The case was postponed to 27 November for a bail
