Two cigarette delivery men were robbed and abducted by a gang of armed skelms in Kraaifontein.
The incident happened in Drostdy Street on Friday morning when the men made a delivery at a local supermarket.
A witness told the Daily Voice: “Yoh, meneer, when the white Mercedes delivery van pulled up in front of the shop, these guys in a taxi came and men with guns jumped out and held the delivery men hostage.
“They quickly loaded the boxes into the taxi and then they took the delivery guys also.
“I’m lucky they didn’t see me when they sped away. I heard afterwards that there were cigarettes in the boxes.”
Titanium Armed Response services said they received calls for assistance and responded.
