An 11-year-old German boy struck by a
craving for something sweet drove his mother's car 10 kilometres down
the road towards the supermarket.
The motoring minor had no accidents but was busted before he could
satisfy his sweet tooth. A driver in another car spotted him behind
the wheel and raised the alarm, police said Thursday.
After police pulled him over, he parked the car safely on the side of
the road. The officers then brought the boy back to his very
surprised mother in the Boerde district of the central state of
Saxony-Anhalt.
The boy, who undertook the journey on Wednesday, apparently gained
his motoring skills driving a tractor.
