Qiyaam “Toyboy” Frieslar, 29, was found dead inside a Kia Sportage along Hans Aschenborn Street on Sunday just after 7.30am.
A male passenger who was shot in the leg was rushed to hospital for treatment.
Cops say Frieslar had been shot and lost control of the SUV in Katrina Harris Street, before crashing into the front yard wall of a house in Hans Aschenborn Street.
The owners of the property were too frightened to speak, fearing the incident was gang-related.
Qiyaam’s family also refused to comment.
Cops have since arrested three men between the ages of 22 and 25 for the shooting.
Meanwhile friends and family of Qiyaam shared his photograph and condolences on his Facebook account.
