A Hanover Park woman is desperately trying to trace her biological family after her foster mother died 12 years ago.
Geraldine Hendricks, 33, says she was taken into foster care by a woman named Freda Moos when she was an infant after her mother died.
“I don’t know much about my biological family, but I know I had five siblings and I’m originally from Valhalla Park,” she says.
“I would love to meet my biological siblings and form a bond with them.”
The mother of four says she felt “lost” after Freda died.
“After she died, I lived in the one-bedroom house with her daughter, but I want to find my own blood relatives.
“My sister Charlotte Witbooi could be in her fifties now and living in Delft, another sister is Sophia Witbooi and there’s a brother Joseph Witbooi, who are both in their 40s.
“My mother was Dalene Hendricks and father was called Jerry.
“I’ve lived in Hanover Park all my life, I don’t have any documents or pictures of my biological family, but as a child, my foster mother told me she was my biological mother’s best friend and that my mother died of cancer.”
