A mother is living in fear after her three-year-old daughter disappeared without a trace.

Little Asaza Sauls went missing in Wallacedene, Kraaifontein, on Sunday morning after she went with her big sister to a local shop, and hasn’t been seen since.

The family fears older sister Pinky Sauls, 21, took Asaza and left, as she has a history of running away from home.

Police, residents, the Community Policing Forum and the Pink Ladies have launched a massive search for the child.

According to her mother, Edrika Sauls, 36, Asaza was last seen with Pinky about 11.20am.

Edrika says she’s been unable to sleep since Asaza disappeared.

WORRIED: Edrika Sauls, 36

The family lives in Marula Street, and Pinky and Asaza went to a spaza shop close to their home.

“I got up and started cleaning when Pinky took Asaza, so after 11am, and walked to the shop close to our house to buy sweets,” explains the worried mother.

“They took long to return and I became worried because Pinky sommer disappears for days.

“She previously left home and we eventually found her in Cradock in the Eastern Cape.

“People said they saw Pinky at a shebeen, but nobody has seen her since. We went to all the smokkelhuise and places where she usually hangs out but nothing.”

She’s also known to visit at a new location, Marikana in Lower Crossroads.

Edrika described Pinky as heavy set, and she was last seen wearing black and white pants and a grey track top.

“What worries me is that she was drunk and you can’t trust her. She’s only been back home for two weeks now, and now she’s gone again,” says the mom.

Asaza was wearing a red skirt, grey T-shirt and black boots.
