Police have confirmed that they have arrested four men who allegedly gang-raped a teenage girl in Delft last week.
According to a source close to the investigation, cops came upon the attack at the victim’s home while doing visible policing services in the Leiden area last Thursday.
“Cops were stop and searching in the area when someone alerted them to a dispute in the area.
“They were then told a young girl, only 15-years-old, was raped.
When police found her that poor child was in a state,” the source explained.
Delft Community Policing Forum (CPF) Pastor Charles George says they condemn the horrible attack in the strongest terms.
“We as the Delft CPF are deeply saddened and highly upset by the 15-year-old girl that was gang raped at her home in the early hours of Thursday morning,” George says.

“As a community and as a nation, we feel we have enough on our plate fighting the Covid-19 pandemic and feel the behaviour of these perpetrators was totally unacceptable and uncalled for as we need to come together and support each other in a time like this.
“We believe four arrests were made and we’re hoping and praying that this evil will be dealt with, with the full might of the law.
“Our prayers and support are with the victim and her family and we’re encouraging their family and friends to rally around them at a time like this.”
Police spokesperson Captain FC van Wyk confirmed arrests were made.

“Four suspects have been arrested.
“The victim is receiving medical and psychological assistance.
“The case docket has been referred to Delft FCS,” he adds.
