‘Fancy Boy’ gunned down in Mitchells Plain

Riedewaan Douts, 38, was gunned down in Malva Street in Eastridge about 6:40pm.
Police spokesman, Captain FC van Wyk, confirmed the shooting and says a murder investigation is underway.
“Circumstances surrounding a shooting incident in Malva Street in Eastridge, Mitchells Plain on Saturday at about 6.40 whereby a 38-year-old man was fatally wounded is under investigation. A murder case was registered for investigation,” van Wyk said.
Police are on high alert in the area, where gang violence has flared up over the past few weeks.
