Cape Town - Judgment in the Courtney Pieters murder case has been interrupted so that court officials can take a quick break before continuing with the lengthy proceedings in a smaller courtroom.
Scores of spectators have turned up to listen to Mortimer Saunders' fate being decided in the Western Cape High Court.

Before court resumed, everyone was told that proceedings would be moved from Court 2 to court 15.

This is the first time many in the gallery got to see Saunders in such close proximity. The accused sat within arms reach of Courtney's friends, family and community leaders.
Saunders has remained calm during the early stages of the judgment.
