MURDERED: Body of Dingalomoyo Chintso removed from Wynberg Magistrate's Court

A FIFTH suspect in the Wynberg court killers case will be hauled before a judge today.
Cops busted the 20-year-old man in the ongoing investigation into the high-profile matter on Wednesday and has charged the suspect with murder.
The brazen killing of Dingalomoyo Chintso, 49, on 8 April sent tongues wagging after he was shot dead on the fourth floor of the building which houses the Wynberg Regional Court.
At the time of the incident, an eyewitness reported that a lone gunman wearing a maroon T-shirt and a black beanie approached Chintso and took a firearm out of his sling bag and fired four shots at his head.
Daily Voice sources revealed that the victim was a person of interest in the murder of slain Junky Funky gang boss Ashley “Essie” Phillips who was shot outside Brackenfell Police Station earlier this year.
Police spokesperson Brigadier Novela Potelwa confirms: “Western Cape serious violent crime investigators have arrested yet another suspect yesterday in the murder of Dingalomoya Chintso on 8 April 2025 at the Wynberg Regional Court. The deceased was shot and killed on the court premises.
“The 20-year-old suspect, believed to be key in the murder investigation, has been charged with murder.
“He is expected to appear in the Wynberg Magistrates Court on Friday, 9 May 2025.
“The latest arrest brings the number of suspects arrested in the murder investigation to five. As the investigation unfolded police indicated they had their sights on a number of suspects whom they believed were behind the shooting.”
Alleged mastermind Shireen Matthews, 35, and alleged Junky Funky Kidz skollie Abubaker Adams, 24, have already appeared in court on charges of murder.
According to the charge sheet, Matthews is charged as the person who instigated the shooting and has been slapped with three charges on her own which include instigating the murder and supplying the firearm and ammunition for the hit in addition to the murder charge.
Adams is charged with murder, the illegal possession of a firearm and ammunition as well as POCA charges.
Brian Booysen, 34, from Vrygrond, and Wanay Farao, 22, from Belhar after also appeared.
Deputy provincial police commissioner, Bongani Maqashalala, said police have since opted to beef up security at the court to avoid another incident.
