A Kuils River man is kwaad with local cops who he says wrongfully arrested him, moered him and then opened a fake case against him, claiming he assaulted FOUR armed police officers.
Chad Jantjies, 23, has vowed to take action against the cops from Kuils River Police Station after spending a weekend in the mang and appearing on assault charges.
He says a night out with friends on Saturday quickly turned ugly after they were accused of robbing people on Van Riebeeck Road.
“We were walking to the jol when the neighbourhood watch allegedly told cops we were robbing people".

“They searched us for weapons and stolen stuff, but found nothing and when I started questioning them they called me sterk gevriet and threatened to arrest me.”
Jantjies says a scuffle ensued and cops arrested him and took him to the station where they “repeatedly hit and kicked” him, causing bruised ribs and a big blue mark on his face.
“My eye was also sore and the screen of my phone was cracked the way they hit me.
“After they hit me they discussed in front of me what they would charge me with.
“Then they said I assaulted all of them and tried to take the gun.
“On Sunday at 2am they woke me up, took my fingerprints and told me I am being charged with assault.”
Jantjies appeared in the Kuils River Magistrates’ Court on Monday and was released on R500 bail.

“Even the magistrate was confused because there were no statements about what I had allegedly done and he postponed the case to 12 September for further investigations.
“I was supposed to start my new job on Monday at Dischem, but couldn’t go because I was in pain. They gave me a chance (to recover) until next week.”
Police spokesperson, Sergeant Noloyiso Rwexana, confirms an assault case against Jantjies, but did not answer any questions about the alleged assault or whether the officers had sustained any injuries.
Meanwhile an angry Jantjies has gone to the doctor, and plans to open a case against the police officers.
