A Bonteheuwel man, who runs a pizza business, has been hailed for donating the profits to help the families of special needs children.

Ebrahim takes some of the profits to help needy people with special needs children in his community.
“I sell pizzas from home from Fridays to Sundays and garlic pita bread at R5. Part of the money raised from the sales go to someone in need,” Ebrahim explains.
He says a Daily Voice story he saw on Facebook inspired him.
“I saw the story about Faseega Coetzee and her daughter, Shaziah, who has Down Syndrome and who needed funds to attend an educational programme in Arizona, US.
“I saw the support from inside and outside the community and if we can do this for Faseega, we can do it for someone else,” he says.
Fatima Oliphant, 47, says Ebrahim has been a godsend as her six-year-old son, Sadick, not only has Down Syndrome but many other illnesses as well.
Fatima Oliphant, 47, says Ebrahim has been a godsend as her six-year-old son, Sadick.
“I lost my husband two years ago and things have been extremely difficult. Sadick cannot drink liquids, so everything has to be near solid form.
“He has delayed development, epilepsy, contracted tuberculosis earlier this year and after being in the Intensive Care Unit for over a week, his lungs collapsed. He is doing much better now, but has to be at the hospital every month so I cannot work,” Fatima explains.
“People like Ebrahim restores my hope for humanity,” she adds.
