Munier “Numbers” de Geode was believed to be the right-hand man of Playboys boss, Chop Williams.
On Thursday, Munier, 39, and his girlfriend Celeste Lineville, 36, were sitting in their Golf 7 GTI when gunmen opened fire on them in Duncan Street in Parow.
Their vehicle was riddled with bullets.
The Bonteheuwel couple had two children.
On Thursday friends of the slain couple said : “To the p**s who shot Celeste Lineville this morning, you’re a bunch of common n ***ers.”
Cops say they have yet to make an arrest.
Police spokesperson Captain FC van Wyk says a double murder is under investigation: “Circumstances surrounding a shooting incident (yesterday) morning at 6.30am in Duncan Street, Parow, where a 39-year-old man and a 36-year-old female were shot and fatally wounded, are under investigation.
“According to reports, they were shot and killed in their vehicle.”
“A double murder case was registered for investigation.”
Ward councillor of Bonteheuwel Angus McKenzie says: “I do not want to comment on gang-related shootings especially where they have terrorised communities.
“I am only interested in the fact when community members can send us valuable information so we can arrest these types of individuals and put them behind bars.
“It is sad that another young person has lost their life.
“However if you live by the sword, you will die by the sword.”
On 28 February, Celeste had dedicated a Facebook post to Petula Williams: “So so hard to believe missing u already Petula!!!,” she posted.
“But we have to accept u in a beta place my dearest friend wif ur 2boys dat we wer so excited to meet. it’s not fair dat cowards can just tke da lives of da innocent!!(sic)”
Petula was gunned down in front of her home in Terblans Road in Bonteheuwel in a suspected hit on her husband, Chop.
She was seven-months pregnant with twin boys, Zach and Zeke, at the time.
Petula was sitting in her yard with her two-year-old daughter on her lap when she was shot by a gunman wearing a black salaah top.
Residents claimed Chop’s gang was at war with the Hard Livings gang. Petula’s family declined to comment on whether this may be the motive behind her murder.
