Mitchells Plain police are looking for information regarding an unidentified 35-year-old Somali man whose body was found at the Wolfgat Nature Reserve on Friday.
SAPS Joseph Swartbooi said: “Mitchells Plain police attended a crime scene at about 1.10pm.
“Upon arrival at the scene, they found the body of an unknown man lying next to a storm water pipe near the beach. The deceased sustained multiple stab wounds to his hands, neck and body.”
He says suspects were seen running away from the scene but no arrests have been made yet.
“A murder case has been opened by the police and we are urging anybody with information to come forward.”
The police said the body was handed over to Somali community leaders and is currently being held at the mortuary.
The Daily Voice was unable to get hold of the community leaders.
