Police have made a breakthrough in the murder of Liyabona Mabishi, 16, with the arrest of five men.
The young lesbian was walking with her 18-year-old friend on Human Rights Day when she accidentally bumped into one of the suspects.
She apologised, but her words fell on deaf ears and she was stabbed 13 times.
Her friend, who tried to intervene, was also attacked.
Daily Voice last reported that the friend was in critical condition and could not talk.
She has since woken up and was able to tell the police who the perpetrators are and the cops pounced on them.

Grieving mother Philiswa said the arrested men are now piemping each other.
“The one says it's the other, police found four of them in one place and later arrested another one in another house,” she says.
“I am relieved now that there is progress. I am still hurting, but this gives me a little comfort.”
Police’s Mihlali Majikela said the five suspects were arrested on Wednesday morning.
“Please be informed that five suspects, aged between 22 and 25, were arrested. They will appear in Khayelitsha Magistrates Court once charged,” he says.
