There was chaos in Leiden, Delft on Sunday evening as residents ran screaming from Gilo Street when three men were shot in two different incidents.
According to witnesses, gun-toting thugs approached several innocent people trying to recruit them for the Clever Kids gang, a division of the 28s.
Two 19-year-olds tried to flee from three gangsters who were beating them.
However, the skollies pulled out a gun and shot them.
Gangsters also targeted a 27-year-old man in a second incident.
The first victim, 19, was taken away in a private vehicle, while the other two waited for medics.
More than 20 shots were fired, and the police and military were on the scene within 30 minutes.
Police spokesperson, Mihlali Majikela, confirmed two of the shootings: “A case of attempted murder has been opened for investigation following an incident that occurred on Sunday in Balele Street, Leiden, Delft.
“According to police reports, the 19-year-old male victim was walking at the mentioned address with friends when they heard gunshots going off.
“The victim and his friends split up and ran in varying directions. As the victim was running, he noticed he had been shot in the upper body region. He was taken to a nearby medical facility.
“In a separate incident, a case of attempted murder has been opened for investigation following a shooting that took place on Sunday night in Geba Crescent, Leiden, Delft.
“Police found the 27-year-old male victim lying on the street with a gunshot wound in the left side of his body.
“Investigations in both matters are ongoing and no arrests have been made as yet.”
