The body of an alleged high-ranking gangster has been found murdered at a local beach.
It appears the man had been tortured and was shot and burnt.
The naked and burnt body of the man, who is believed to be a member of the 28s prison gang, was discovered along Lukannon Drive, near Strandfontein Pavilion on Sunday night.
Police sources say he was found lying face-down and his gang tattoos were visible.
It is believed the four stars on his shoulder indicates that he is a high-ranking member of the gang.
The sources say six empty cartridges were found at the scene.
“He has four stars. He’s a Ag, a goenja [high-ranking member of the 28s]. Six cartridges were used. He was burnt and shot,” say the sources.
