MISS South Africa top 10 finalist Bridgett Jones from Bridgetown in Athlone is being accused of being a workplace bully by a former colleague Kayla Jenecker.
In a statement, Miss SA has acknowledged the online allegations involving the contestant, saying: “All our participants in the programme are expected to uphold the Miss South Africa code of conduct, which outlines our commitment to respect, integrity and accountability throughout the competition.
“Miss SA does not condone any behaviour that is not aligned to these values.”
The organisation added that while they take the concerns seriously they are guided by their established protocols and rely on formal processes to deal with any complaints, adding: “We remain committed to fostering respectful and inclusive spaces for all participants throughout the competition.”
Jenecker took to TikTok and made allegations that Jones used to bully her back when they were working together, which made the working environment uncomfortable for her, citing that the bullying affected her mentally.
Jones has since told her side of the story, taking to Instagram to debunk the claims made against her and further shared that when what happened to Jenecker took place, she had already left the company.
“The matter referenced relates to my former employer and colleagues in a legal case in which I had no involvement. By the time those proceedings took place, I had already left the company,” Jones shared.
The beauty queen requested privacy while she deals with this matter.
