Two people, including a Bonteheuwel teen, have died in a head-on collision on Klipheuwel Road between Klipheuwel and Stellenbosch on Saturday.
The impact was so terrible that the white Toyota Corolla the girl and the 29-year old woman were driving in was split in half.
The incident occurred just before 7am on Saturday.
The female driver of the VW Caddy was injured and rushed to hospital for medical treatment.
Shaniqa van Wyk, 15, from Bonteheuwel Avenue, Bonteheuwel was spending the weekend with her father in Delft when the terrible accident at the weighbridge killed both her and the woman, who was driving the car.

A friend of the father’s apparently borrowed his white Toyota Corolla and the teen asked to go along for the ride.
The girl died on impact from her injuries.
Traumatised family members on Sunday said they were at a loss and unable to deal with the death of the meisie.
The family has declined to comment for now, only willing to confirm their tragic loss.

Provincial Traffic Chief Kenny Africa confirmed the incident.
“One coloured female, 29, the driver of the white Toyota Corolla and a 15-year-old girl, her passenger, died when there was a head-on crash at the weighbridge on the R304, Klipheuwel Road, between Klipheuwel and Stellenbosch on Saturday morning,” Africa said.
He also confirmed the female driver who was behind the wheel of the white Caddy was treated on scene and then to hospital for her injuries.
Africa said police was investigating the cause of the accident which is unknown at this stage.
