If you’re wondering what to do for New Year’s Eve tonight, look no further, we’ve got all the lekker events to cherry-pick from.

Plus, we can tell you where your favourite celebs will be hanging out too, so you can “accidentally” bump into them.

The V&A Waterfront is always a kwaai place to be on NYE, especially for the fireworks at midnight.

But before that, you can grab a bite to eat at the numerous restaurants and they have loads of activities lined up in and around the venue.

As the sun sets on 2019, the V&A Waterfront will light up with colours in a magical display of lighting installations for awesome photo opportunities.

The sexiest party in Ibiza lands at Shimmy Beach Club tonight, when Blue Marlin takes over for an unforgettable ‘revellion’ party, with kwaai dancers and international DJs including Camilo Franco (Ibiza), Andy Baxter (UK), DJ Nadja and Dean Fuel.

General access tickets are R750 - R950, and VIP R1850. No under-18s.

If you’re lus for something more intimate, stiek uit at the Cape Town Comedy Club where you can see in the new year with a lekker dose of laughter.

The show starts at 9pm but doors open at 6pm so you can enjoy a meal beforehand.

Tickets cost R495 and include a 90-minute comedy show with three of South Africa’s funniest comedians: Mel Jones (MC), Yaaseen Barnes and Shimmy Isaacs.

You will also party the night away with DJ Shane Langdon, receive a welcome drink on arrival and a glass of bubbly for the countdown.

Cape Town’s biggest New Year’s Eve celebration returns - Secrets of Summer New Year’s Eve 2019, powered by 5FM and Corona, is boasting one of the biggest artist line-ups ever.

Organiser Mark Abrahams says there’ll be multiple themed stages and dance arenas, a man-made beach, complemented by amazing views of Table Mountain.

Artists include Faithless and Shapeless on a DJ set, local acts YoungstaCPT, TIMO ODV, Locnville, Pascal & Pearce, Chunda Munki, Jack Parow, Dean Fuel, Kyle Cassim, Strange Loving, Sketchy Bongo, The Kiffness, and many more.

General access is R690, and VIP tickets are R1100 at the door.
